I made this sign after getting yelled at by the vice principal about 3 times for having forgotten to lock the doors and windows before going home. I maintain that I did in fact remember to lock up and someone must have gotten in after I left in at least 2 of those instances, but by now I know better than to tell a Japanese boss that directly – last time I stood up for myself at work, I got confined to the coat closet for almost an hour. So instead, I created this door hanger as a passive-agressive approach – which is almost always acceptable by traditional Japanese people – and I made it super cute so as not to provoke any further anger, just in case.
So there you have it: if anyone comes into the AV room and makes mischief after this sign is hung on the door, it will not be my fault.
