Taro is the best food in the world, so naturally it serves as an inspiration for my art from time to time.
The model for this picture, done in oil pastels, was a large taro bought for half price at Max Valu. Finding taro at low prices is always a happy event, but this one was a beautiful shape and size, so I just had to create something to remember it by. After I drew the picture, I made taro kara-age.
